ROSLYN, N.Y. – October 29, 2026 – Laifi Geometrics announces the completion of Lumber Road, a newly designed workplace crafted specifically for a global technology brand. Rooted heavily in biophilic principles, the interior architecture brings together natural light, organic forms, and custom detailing to create an environment that intentionally supports focus, connection, and employee wellbeing.
The comprehensive design translates the technology client’s core values and spirit of innovation into a modern workplace that expertly balances individual privacy with team collaboration. Working from an initial spatial plan defined by enclosed offices and long, narrow corridors, Laifi Geometrics entirely reimagined the interior as a more fluid, connected sequence of spaces.
To soften the rigid geometry of the original layout, the firm implemented curved glass partitions paired with vertical wood reeds. These elements clearly define circulation while allowing daylight to travel unobstructed through the workplace. Within the private offices, the strategic use of indirect, diffused lighting and acoustic ceiling panels creates a refined setting intended for comfortable, focused work. To keep the space uncluttered, custom millwork seamlessly integrates printers, filing cabinets, and wardrobe storage, keeping everyday necessities highly accessible while maintaining a cohesive interior.
One of the project’s defining architectural features emerged from the logistical challenge of fabricating multiple curved glass partitions, which are historically costly to produce as a single piece. Laifi Geometrics innovated by integrating vertical wood reed detailing at the panel junctions. This allowed the sweeping curves to be constructed from smaller, modular glass sections, significantly reducing overall fabrication costs. Beyond the budget efficiencies, this specific detailing provides greater visual privacy for individual offices and introduces a warm, rhythmic focal point throughout the workplace.
