Lyra Health, a leader in mental health innovation, today announced several updates to its Empower platform including the general availability of its Lyra AI guide and new AI capabilities for members, providers, and employers. These features are designed to further personalize care and insights, improve outcomes, and increase access. Lyra’s ethical innovation framework ensures every update is safe and proven to help people get the best care possible.
“The future of mental health care depends on the combination of clinical rigor and technological expertise,” said Jennifer Schulz, Chief Executive Officer, Lyra Health. “Every innovation we build is focused on delivering better experiences and outcomes — for those receiving care, delivering it, and supporting their members.”
The company will roll out a series of enhancements for the Lyra ecosystem throughout 2026.
Lyra Care for Members: Continuous Support
Lyra is introducing more intuitive, conversational support to help members navigate care:
- 24/7 continuous care support: Following a successful pilot announced in October 2025, Lyra’s clinically designed AI guide, which supplements human-led care between coaching sessions, will be expanding to general availability in the U.S. and additional countries through the end of the year.
- Search and discovery: A natural language option for members to find care, wellbeing resources, and benefits information.
- Enhanced triage: Members can describe their symptoms or feelings in their own words to be matched with the best provider for their needs.
- Voice mode: For members who prefer speaking to typing.
AI-powered experiences are clearly identified for members, designed with transparency in mind, and include easy opt-out features so everyone can get the care that works for them.
Lyra Engage for Providers: Insights and Administration
Lyra leans into AI to help providers deliver the most effective care possible while enhancing continuous learning and development.
- Supportive learnings: Lyra uses AI to offer insights and observations to providers, in coordination with care supervisors, to better tailor care for members.
- Streamlined documentation: Lyra AI generates summaries of sessions and whole episodes to reduce the paperwork burden and allow providers to focus on care.
Lyra Connect for Benefits Leaders: Trends and Strategic Guidance
Lyra automates program insights so employers can build smarter benefits strategies.
- Trends and insights: Lyra Connect uses data from across the Empower platform to identify organizational-level utilization trends and program insights for custom reporting.
- Proactive recommendations: Lyra AI helps HR leaders address workforce issues before they escalate, identifying emerging trends and recommending preemptive action plans.
“The Empower platform takes complex AI innovations and turns them into simple, effective tools for our care ecosystem,” said Jenny Gonsalves, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Lyra Health. “This architecture allows us to translate the latest technological breakthroughs into high-quality care that is always safe, reliable, and accessible for everyone we serve.”
